Excellus Medicare Insurance Solutions

A Medicare provider based in Rochester, New York, Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield offers a full complement of plans that expand on as well as fill the gaps in the Medicare benefits that are provided to you at age 65 under the Original Medicare program (Parts A and B). It offers customer service beyond what is typically expected to help facilitate the process of finding the Medicare solution you need.

Excellus Medigap Plans

Medigap plans, also known as Medicare Supplement Insurance, provide a way for you to supplement Parts A and B (Original Medicare), which is the insurance that pays for stays in a hospital, skilled nursing home care, visiting your doctor, lab tests, and other expenses. Excellus offers six Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) plans that cover coinsurance payments, deductibles, skilled nursing coinsurance amounts, and other expenses, including those for medical expenses incurred outside of the United States.

Excellus Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C) provide you with the Original Medicare benefits you are entitled to when turning age 65 but through a private insurance company instead of the government. The plans Excellus offers will cover all your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits and possibly more, depending on the type of plan option you choose. These plans may be a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and might also include prescription drug benefits.

Excellus Prescription Drug Benefits and Plans

You may choose a standalone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) that complements your health care coverage and helps you afford the expenses associated with your important prescription drugs. The PDPs Excellus offers are also included in the Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO Plan options.
