AmeriChoiceMedigap Plans

Often, Medicare beneficiaries find the treatment they are able to receive through their original plan is not adequate for their individual circumstances. In such situations, they can choose one of the Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) plans available through AmeriChoice. These plans supplement Part A and Part B of Original Medicare, allowing recipients to customize their insurance.

AmeriChoice Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans work separately from Original Medicare to allow beneficiaries to receive coverage through a third-party, private supplier. With a Medicare Advantage Plan, a recipient may receive the same coverage as that of Part A and Part B along with any other offered benefits. AmeriChoice plans come in a variety of formats, including Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), HMO Dual Eligible Special Need Plans (D-SNPs), Regional PPOs, and Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs). Specifically, AmeriChoice (through UnitedHealthcare) offers the UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete plan, an HMO SNP that provides benefits including transportation to and from the hospital and pharmacy, dental and footcare coverage, and other treatment options.

AmeriChoice Prescription Drug Benefits and Plans

Although Original Medicare does not offer prescription drug benefits, AmeriChoice offers Medicare Part D prescription drug plans to ensure plan beneficiaries have access to the medications they need. With a prescription drug plan, the recipient may refill prescriptions at myriad pharmacies across the country or even have the pharmaceutical shipped directly to their front door.
